Title:
Bringing Wounded to First Aid Post
Date:
1943 November
Description:
A Bren Gun Carrier brought stretcher cases from places that even my four-wheel-drive ambulance (far left) could not reach. Note the medic in front is holding up a plasma transfusion bottle for the patient on top of the Bren Gun Carrier.
My experience was that the closer I got to the front line soldiers in action, the more appreciation I found for my conscientious objection to war.
Location: North Bank of the Sangro River.
