Kinter's margin notes: "Contact prints from negatives taken from the huge pile I found behind one of the photographic shops in Taunggyi when we first entered the town – [WBK] printed in Kalaw with kerosene lamp on Air Ministry paper – many of the negatives in the pile were useful to the Field Security people in convicting collaborators – there were photostatic copies of documents & pictures of collaborators with the Japs." Marion A. Kinter's cataloging notes: "September 1945 – dates of photos & photographer(s) unknown, developed by William Boardman Kinter"
